Scheme for Teen Arts
START involved young people from all over Redditch in projects designed to attract younger audiences to the Palace Theatre as well as organise large scale youth arts events bringing artists from all over the country to encourage young people to engage with the performing and visual arts. The scheme was funded by Redditch Borough Council, Worcestershire County Council, Government Office West Midlands and Arts Council England and involved over 3000 young people from Redditch during 2004 and 2005. Partners involved in the delivery included young people from local high schools who planned and lead the project, Worcestershire Youth Services and Pitcheroak Special School.
