Past projects archive

Arts Council England recently awarded to Redditch Borough Council and the wider AiR (Arts in Redditch) Partnership over £60,000 towards performances, commissions for new work, and education programmes with the Stratford based Orchestra of the Swan.

Performances have taken place at the Palace Theatre and the Big K at Kingsley College as well as in schools and older people's homes.

Most recently the internationally renowned violinist Tasmin Little visited Redditch for the first time to play the Samuel Barber Concerto alongside the Orchestra on her Guadanini violin dated 1757.

In July this year the Orchestra worked with over 600 children from Redditch, and over the past 18 months two world premiere performances of new work were performed here in Redditch.
