Pop in the Park: AiR Festival 2005
The Pop in the Park project was part of the AiR Festival celebrations in 2005. 12,000 people attended an outdoor event at the Arrow Valley Park featuring performances by Lemar, Natasha Bedingfield, and Liberty X.
Most exciting of all were the performances from the winners of three competitions who were all residents in Redditch. National Battle of the Bands My Girl Sleeps, the Redditch Battle of the Bands organised in a collaboration between Redditch Borough Council and Kingsley College: The Cadence, and Lauren Rowell who had recently scooped a Worcestershire wide talent award.
It was an extraordinary day never to be forgotten by the residents of Redditch. Enjoy the photos!
